Bookings are secured with a 10% initial deposit or $700 (whichever is higher), which is part of the quoted package. This is non-refundable except in the case of extraordinary circumstances, which we deal with on a case by case basis.  

Within Sydney metropolitan areas, our travel fees are included in the quoted package. For locations outside of Sydney, a small travel fee applies to cover travel costs. For locations 50–70 km from the Sydney CBD, the travel fee is $150 per shooter, and for locations 70–120 km from the Sydney CBD, the fee is $200 per shooter. For locations more than 120 km from the Sydney CBD, travel fees are worked out on a case-by-case basis and will be discussed with you in advance.

Yes! Being on our feet for most of the day does take its toll. We request a meal for each of the shooters at the reception. We highly prefer the meals to be served at the same time and in the same room as the guests so the photographers and videographers can be most ready when the speeches happen.

Turnaround time for photo and video sets are 2-3 months, depending on the busyness of the season. 

Each one of our team members have the easy-going, fun and artistic persona which embodies the Ballyhoo spirit! We select your crew based on availability and some cultural fit as well.

Most of our photography packages come with a pre-wedding engagement shoot which is the perfect way to meet your lead photographer as he or she will be the one to lead on your wedding day. In the case where a pre-wedding shoot is not included, our photographers are happy to meet with you in any way, for example, phone call, video call or a face to face. 

The balance can be paid in instalments or once-off, but we require the full balance to be transferred no later than four weeks before the wedding date. This is our way of ensuring there’s no loose ends on your part and you can enjoy the day without worry!

Our packages are designed to be flexible so we can tailor coverage to suit your wedding day and preferences. Whether you need more hours, a second shooter, or specific add-ons, we’ll work with you to create the right fit.

We don’t provide raw photos or unedited video footage, as they don’t reflect the quality and storytelling we aim to deliver. Instead, we carefully curate and edit the images that truly add value to your collection and beautifully capture your day, removing only duplicates or shots with imperfections such as closed eyes or unflattering expressions. For video, you’ll receive a professionally edited film that includes the ceremony, formalities, speeches, key moments, and highlights from the dance floor.

We encourage our couples to share any must-have shots or special requests before the wedding. On the day, we’ll guide you naturally while capturing candid moments in between, ensuring the photography style and signature look you’ve chosen Ballyhoo for.

In the rare event of illness or emergency, we have trusted professional photographers and videographers in our team we can call on as backup. You can rest assured that your wedding will be covered without compromise.

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially if your wedding is during peak season. Many couples secure their date 12–18 months in advance to ensure availability.

Absolutely. We work closely with you (and your planner if you have one) to create a timeline that flows smoothly. We’ll make sure there’s enough time for portraits, family photos, and plenty of candid moments, without feeling rushed.

Yes. If you realise you need additional coverage closer to the day, you can easily add extra hours. We’ll confirm the details ahead of time so there are no surprises.
